Nabil Alyousuf

Chairman of Al Jal Capital; and Chairman of Sadara

Nabil Alyousuf, an investor and entrepreneur, is the Chairman of Nabil Alyousuf & Associates, and a partner in Al Jal Capital, a UAE based private equity firm that specializes in investing in ventures in the Middle East. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of International Advisory Group (IAG). Nabil is also a member of Alyousuf family, which is involved in several business lines such as real estate and trading including Hassan Mukhtar and Brothers one of most prominent FMCG distributors in the UAE.

Previously he worked as the Director General of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai. He led the development of Dubai Strategy 2015 and established Dubai School of Government, a public policy institute created in collaboration with Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He was also in charge of Dubai Government Excellence Program that played a major role in improving efficiency and performance of government departments.

Alyousuf is member of the Board of Damac, one of the largest real estate development companies in the Middle East. He sits on several NGO boards such as University of Strathclyde International Advisory Board and The Hub – Dubai, which is an accelerator for social entrepreneurs.

In 2010 Alyousuf was chosen as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. In 2016 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree in Business Administration from The University of Strathclyde. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Strathclyde, a Master of Science in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The University of Arizona.
